Signal Station North is a district lighting plan and public space engagement initiative for Central Baltimore.

Signal Station North is a unique collaboration between local artists, designers, and nonprofits exploring light in public space to engage and enliven communities.
Outcomes of the project include a neighborhood Lighting Guidebook and a district Lighting Plan, along with community workshops, guerrilla lighting activations, events, and three permanent lighting installations, which will be installed in the District in 2022. We hope that these publications and demonstration projects will provide tools and inspiration for anyone looking to light up their neighborhood.

The Guidebook
The Signal Station North Lighting Guidebook is a publication for anyone looking to improve lighting in their community, offering lessons on neighborhood lighting, resources, and practical information on how light works.
